Design thinking

So What is a framework to help solve problems through experimentation, prototyping and customer testing. A colleague and I developed it as a way to share the UX design approach – ideate, test & learn – with other areas of the business. It can be used to address problems big or small, from personal projects to redesigning business processes. We’ve used it as a template to run loads of successful workshops.

So What breaks problem solving down into 5 steps – and provides the tools, guidance and templates to carry them out. The below should give you a feel for what it’s about.

Step 3.

This is about bringing ideas to life and creating a prototype. The emphasis is on rough and ready. No design skills required.

Step 4.

All things testing. How, where and with whom? Along with the best ways to capture feedback.

Step 5.

Making sense of feedback and coming to a conclusion or recommendation. The So What?
